Siemens launched Expedite for Vets in June 2026: up to 5,000 veterans and active-duty service members receive free access to an ABET-recognized micro-credential in advanced manufacturing, automation, digital engineering, and infrastructure. Delivery runs through Vets2PM, a certified DoD SkillBridge provider, which means service members can complete it during the transition period before separation — while still on active duty and drawing pay.

Completion takes weeks to months, not years. There is no degree requirement to enter. The credential is ABET-recognized, which carries weight with engineering-adjacent employers in manufacturing and industrial automation. Siemens has set a goal of upskilling 200,000 people by 2030. Expedite for Vets is one vehicle for that target — and it routes directly through the federal infrastructure that already exists for military transition.
